Welcome to Thandekayo Guesthouse!

Thandekayo meaning "warm welcome to our home", is a luxury 4 star guest house. Open space and modernity in combination with an African feeling, is what you feel when you enter the guest house or one of the 6 individually designed rooms.

We want our guests to feel at home and our guesthouse reflects this relaxed ambience, which is also pleasing to the eye.

All six en suite rooms are different in style and decor, with all the essential amenities to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The Strelitzia (honeymoon suite) has a stone bath and opens out onto a secluded pool area.

The Thandekayo lounge leads out on to the large balcony. The view from here stretches from Chapmans' Peak to the back of Table Mountain. Overlooking Hout Bay, the beautifully landscaped garden and heated swimming pool area make this the perfect place to relax.

The house displays a modest collection of contemporary art. Stencils of elephants accompany you up the stairs and crayons are used for the guest book entries.

In the morning we serve you our delicious English or Continental breakfast.

Set in a tranquil valley and surrounded by mountains and the sea, the village of Hout Bay is a restful and increasingly popular destination.

When you’ve seen all that Hout Bay has to offer, why not explore the surrounding beauty spots and attractions.

The beaches of Camps Bay and the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are a short drive away and in 20 minutes you can be in the City Centre or the V&A Waterfront.
