Ngongoni Lodge is a vision of exceptional
African royalty, stunning interior, cuisine dashed and dazzled by an artisan,
mountains, savannah and African bushveld. |
| The main building provides a "mess"
area for lounging and dining. Both buildings and furnishings are in harmony
with the environment. The roofs are thatched and the rooms are built on
stilts in the treetops.
The bathrooms include dressing space,
closets and a shower room - luxury touches such as fluffy white towels,
robes and kelims. |

The elephant tusk beds are handmade
and no animal products were used.
Crisp white linen and silk bedcovers
create a sense of decadent luxury, in sharp contrast with native African
elements such as the spears displayed on the wooden walkways. |
| In true safari tradition, evening
meals are a special occasion.
After drinks around the fire, guests
can enjoy an intimate dinner in the spectacular starlit boma with silver
service by candlelight, champagne and fine wines to enhance a three course
menu.
Port and cigars complete a night
redolent with the elegance of ages past. |
