The Arab stud Namarab is situated on the foot of the Khomas Hoghland mountain range, a mere 55km from Okahandja on the Gross Barmen road.
Our horses share a 14 000 hectare game farm with 23 species of game, including giraffe, zebra, blue wildebeest, black wildebeest, eland, impala, blesbuck, springbuck, kudu and oryx.
Our pure bred Arabian horses were imported from Germany in 2004. Hailing from a 200 year old Polish/Russian bloodline, they are all magnificent specimens off the Arab breed.
The breeding stock consists of 2 stallions and 11 mares, the first foals are expected at the end of August 2005.
While a good pedigree alone will not suffice. Namarab's horses are well known for their much appreciated good nature and noble character. All horses are professionally trained and schooled to ensure a safe and enjoyable ride.
Tailor made horseback trails are offered for novice and experienced riders, varying from half day rides to 3 day rides. Initial training will be provided to riders wanting to improve there riding technique and skill.
Experienced guides accompany guests on trails to the farms hot water springs, the Swakoppoort dam and on the game farm to view game at close quarters. Overnight camping excursions are also offered so guests can enjoy the African bush in all its splendor.
