Mwambashi River Lodge, Zambia

Mwambashi River Lodge is situated in Lower Zambezi National Park and is reputed to have the best location on the Lower Zambezi River.

Here we will treat you to a personalised paradise and let you indulge in the most organic, yet totally luxurious safari experience that Zambia has to offer.

Our guests stay in large en suite tents, each with a viewing deck situated under the shade of huge Acacia albida trees. Unwind in the comfort of your own verandah and enjoy the abundant birds and wildlife around you.

We offer luxury in true African style with meals served in a large thatch dining and lounge area, with drinks supplied by a well stocked bar.

The plunge pool at sunset and the deck

Guests can cool off in the plunge pool or bask on the large deck that overlooks the Zambezi River. The deck allows you to view the magical scenery and big game that gather at the river.

It is ideal for enjoying sundowners or simply relaxing or reading during the heat of the day. Fireside evenings by the Lower Zambezi River can also be arranged.

The camp grounds sustain a variety of big game such as buffaloes and elephants, as well as prolific birdlife and interesting flora. Visitors can go on exciting safaris in open 4x4 vehicles and night drives in the national park. Game viewing from the boats are just as rewarding.

There are boating in the Chifungulu Channel, canoeing in the Discovery Channel and fishing in the lush Lower Zambezi River. Guests can also take on the daunting task of tracking wildlife using the San method of "Tracks and Signs".
