Mosaic Farm, South Africa

Welcome to Mosaic Farm, a place of exquisite beauty on the Hermanus Lagoon, two hours SE of Cape Town.

A place to unwind and be renewed. A touch of heaven on earth coloured by wildflowers of fynbos, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets over the lagoon, ancient milkwood thickets and the majestic beauty of the Overberg Mountains.

Relax in our full-service luxury Lagoon Lodge which is woven into an ancient milkwood grove on the lagoon edge, built safari-style with stone and canvas under thatch.

We provide for ten guests with luxurious beds under netting, large romantic tubs, private outdoor showers and wooden decks.

Follow the boardwalks through the trees to an open-air lapa, where delectable meals and drinks are served by a fireplace that will warm your soul.

Self-catering stone cottages and the lagoon

Unwind in our spa pool overlooking a bird sanctuary with the lagoon and mountains as a spectacular backdrop.

We also offer two lovely self-catering stone cottages, which share magnificent mountain views from the lagoon edge and are surrounded by milkwood trees and fynbos gardens. Make yourself at home with beautiful natural finishes, a fireplace, a barbecue area and large decks.

Our unique position on the lagoon and bordering the pristine beaches of Walker Bay, makes Mosaic the perfect place from which to explore amazing birdlife, endemic mammal species, the Fynbos Biome and the Overberg Region.

Soak it in while kayaking on the lagoon, try your hand at fly-fishing, hike on 933 hectares or view the giant Southern Right Whales (June-December), dolphins and seals from the secluded beach.

Choose from the many activities the region has to offer, like cage diving with Great White Sharks, boat-based whale watching, Klipgat archaeological Cave from the Middle Stone Age, wine tasting in the Hemel-En-Aarde Wine Valley and Walker Bay Wine Region, Cape Agulhus, small aircraft coastal trips and paragliding.

The newly renovated Mosaic Manor House (Spookhuis) will be available at the end of 2007, and is the perfect setting for weddings and small conferences.
