Mooikelder Manor
House

|
Our gracious Cape Dutch homestead
was built in 1835 and has been owned by a number of prominent people, most
notably Cecil John Rhodes who took occupation in 1900.
Set in the Paarl valley in the heart
of the Boland, Mooikelder's distinctive appeal is in its stately home with
exceptionally high gable and the original cellar, with façade plaster
dating back to the first half of the 19th century.
Each of the 6 comfortable bedrooms
has a unique character and classic furnishings. |
| Twin or double beds are in en-suite
rooms with TV, hairdryers, heaters when chilly, fans for the summer weather,
clock radios and beverage trays. |
 |
 |
The separate lodge shares the inviting
swimming pool and restful, manicured garden.
The Lodge has two en-suite bedrooms,
a private sitting room with it's own fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen
and upstairs a TV room.
It is also the ideal retreat for
family or friends. |
| Lunch and dinner are served if requested.
We are close to many attractions
in Paarl such as the Afrikaans language museum and monument; Glass blowing
at Seidleberg; Idyllic walks in the Paarl Nature Reserve; golf courses
and the Jack Nicklaus signature course at Paarl Valley. |
