Lesedi Cultural Village, South Africa

Lesedi Cultural Village and the lodge are set amongst pristine bushveld and rocky hills, less than an hour's drive north of Johannesburg.

Here visitors can live the Lesedi experience in the vibrant and colourful lives of the Basotho, Ndebele, Pedi, Xhosa and Zulu people.

On arrival in our 3 star African lodge guests are welcomed by the head of the house who then becomes their personal escort for the rest of their stay.

All the rooms are en suite and were inspired by the rich cultural history of South Africa, with every homestead representing a different tribe. Each room has coffee and tea making facilities for your early morning beverage.

The restaurant and the boma

Part of the adventure is definitely the cuisine. The flavours of Africa with delicacies fit for royalty, are dished up in big black pots. The unmistakable chattering voices and painted faces which accompany the meal create an unreal atmosphere.

The Olive Forest Boma is normally used for open air barbecues and is ideally suited for informal functions and teambuilding exercises during corporate events. As is tradition, meals are enjoyed with vibrant entertainment and storytelling.

Lesedi Cultural Village is an African adventure like no other, from weddings with a difference to tours through colourful settings.

A must see is the Ndebele village and African craft market where Ndebele murals decorate the walls and courtyard.

Lesedi is a Sotho word that means light. At Lesedi culture the light leads us and whoever walks here will see it and know it.
