In Namibia, in South-Western Africa
lies the sheep and cattle farm, Kiripotib. It is an oasis in this vast,
arid region where the peace and silence is healing. Here one is entranced
by the creativity and expertise of the artists and craftspeople of African
Kirikara Art.
Unique pieces of jewellery, rugs
and carpets, capturing the African spirit, are created under the guidance
of Claudia and Hans Georg von Hase. These beautiful carpets provide much-needed
employment for the people of this arid country. |
| We start with pure, shorn wool of
exceptional quality, which is extremely durable. All production is done
by hand - from the spinning of the yarn, the dyeing and weaving, to the
final product.
The designer uses a spectrum of over
200 colours: strong and subtle tones, primaries and pastels. Natural shades
contrast with colourful fantasies.
The patterns originate from diverse
cultures, experiences and feelings. Carpets of all designs and colours
make up our continuously growing collection. |

Two worlds - one language: harmony.
Namibia has a rich culture from both, Europe and Africa. Today, inspiration
is drawn from both continents and meet in the African Kirikara weaving
studio.
Your individual needs can be catered
for. Carpets of up to 4 metres wide and of virtually unlimited length can
be made.
Visitors to Namibia often take smaller
weavings and other articles home with them. Larger items, work to order,
orders from the catalogue and orders taken at exhibitions, are delivered
directly by African Kirikara weavery to any destination. |
| Farm Kiripotib is also home to our
jewellery
design studio. Here our designers create exquisite jewellery using
precious metals, fantasy cut gemstones and exotic materials from throughout
Africa.
Feel free to visit our farm gallery
where we exhibit our fine products and selected arts and crafts from other
African countries such as: mud cloth from Mali, linen and cotton potato
prints, Ondjaba pottery, Tuareg jewellery, woodcut prints or Zimbabwe art.
We also have gallery shops in Swakopmund, Namibia and Hout Bay, South Africa.
Or relax at our guest farm, offering
stylish accommodation and join us on an African safari to discover Southern
Africa by land or air. |
