Genius Loci is the Latin word for "Spirit of the Place", and the slogan of our ranch, which is a comfortable 45-minute drive on tarred road, north of Pretoria and malaria free.

Our game ranch is the perfect venue for lovers of nature and wildlife as here we are committed to the preservation of our pristine bushveld habitat in all its diversity.

We welcome you to stay in our accommodation facility, namely Tshukudu Lodge.

The lodge has 12 double rooms with en suite bathrooms, in three separate chalet blocks. Six rooms have balconies while the other six have an outside courtyard. All rooms have coffee machines, electric blankets, hair dryers, and are fully serviced.

The Lodge also offers two lounges with satellite television, video and DVD, a dining room, Boma with barbecue facilities and different lapas as well as a swimming pool, curio shop, pool table, darts and various other games.

We also have a conference facility which is the ideal venue, as the lodge is reserved for only one group at a time.

The zoo, with beautiful gardens, wooden deck with grass roof and kiosk, is not a zoo in the normal sense of the word. It's tranquility, tidiness and vastness can be enjoyed by visitors all year round.

One of the largest collections of different species of primates and exotic birds can be found between koi dams, water birds, small antelope and waterfalls which attribute to the laid back atmosphere of the setting.

At a small additional cost, game drives and walks can be arranged where you will spot some of the 27 species of game on the ranch (from white rhinos and sable antilopes to giraffes and various bucks).

For bird watching enthusiasts, the ranch is an absolute paradise.

We offer you personal choice and flexibility, because our venue is relatively small (900 ha). Therefore we are also able to offer you exclusivity and personalized attention, be it in menu choice, guided bush walks, specialized game drives or conference detail, the choice is yours!
