Allée Bleue was established in 1690 under the name "Mere Rust". The original Cape wine farm takes its 315-year old history into the future with a new name and concept.
Allée Bleue - translated from French, "Avenue of Blue" refers to the Eucalyptus-lined entrance road to the estate, and also represents the owners' personal life philosophy - an appreciation for the grandeur found naturally upon our Blue Planet. Under this name exist the Allée Bleue Farms, comprising the existing wine, fruit and herb farming operations. |
Café Allée Bleue, though modern and trendy in approach, is also a place of meditation and tranquility. A place to linger and celebrate an "avenue of Blue" and life itself. Most ingredients on the menu are sourced from local organic producers.

The winemaking process has its foundation in quality and exceptional standards. Made for the connoisseur, our wines can be savoured in our tasting rooms overlooking the organic herb fields, where up to 100 guests may be accommodated.
Winetastings include a selection of 6 of our best wines. Set menus are available for tour groups-operators and drivers will receive complimentary meals. Smaller groups may be accommodated at Café Allée Bleue for breakfast or lunch and in-season picnic baskets are available per 2 persons sharing. |
