The Wild Coast is one of South Africa's most exciting and unexploited areas.

The entire Wild Coast is ideal for walking, with many caves, bays, shipwrecks, cliffs and capes to explore.

Scattered about in the foothills and beyond, Xhosa homesteads are often grouped around a cattle kraal, usually situated on the ridge of a hill.

Hole in the wall and scuba diving

Snorkelling and scuba diving can be done at many sites along the Wild Coast.

Divers and treasure hunters find endless excitement in searching for coins, crockery, cannons and other relics from numerous old shipwrecks along the coast.

One of the must see places in this area is the "hole in the wall", a geological marvel.

The Wild Coast can accommodate with ease both the adrenaline seeker and the perfect family holiday.

Places like Coffee Bay are popular among surfers, anglers and shell collectors.

A misty and untouched bay, it offers excellent fishing as well as spectacular walks through coastal bush that is full of bird life.

Hiking trails are abound in the area, the famous Wild Coast Hiking Trail being one.

Golden beach and whale

Southern right whales visit this region between May and November to calf. Visitors can see them from the shore or a boat playing with the dolphins.

From golden beaches to incredible sights, from camping rough to star graded establishments.
